Tony Jurgens, member of the Washington County Library Board

Along with the other members of the Washington County Library Board, Tony acts in an advisory role to the library administration and the Washington County Commissioners. The county library system is in the implementation phase of a recently conducted strategic plan including facilities assessment and programming needs.

Tony Jurgens, candidate for Minnesota House District 54B, attended the Washington County Library Board meeting on July 25. Jurgens is a member of the Board and he represents District 4. His term runs from January 2015 to December 2017. The seven Board members are appointed for three-year terms. Library Board bylaws limit the number of terms to two.

Tony Jurgens visit Micro Control tourTony was honored to be invited, along with seven other Minnesota legislature candidates from around the state, to tour Micro Control Company in Fridley. Micro Control was founded in 1972 by Harold Hamilton and employs over 125 people in a highly technical field. Micro Control builds systems that test the computer chips found in everyday things like smart phones, automobiles, televisions and almost any electronic device you can think of. Mr. Hamilton is seen here with Tony and the other candidates leading the tour of his Fridley operation.
