LOWERING HEALTH CARE COSTS
Promises Made – Promises Kept
We all know health care costs are too high. Tony has fought for and delivered reforms to lower costs, expand health care options, and restore Minnesota’s place as a nationwide leader and innovator in health care.
Tony pledged to fight for lower health care costs, and delivered. Tony helped put an end to double-digit premium increases by working to pass nationally-recognized reforms that lowered health care costs for Minnesotans on the individual health insurance market.
Families have more flexibility and see costs decrease when more choices are brought into the market. Tony passed into law reforms that increase health insurance options and strengthen network access across the state.
MORE TO COME
Next session, Tony’s work to lower health care costs will continue. Reducing taxes on health insurance plans and building on this session’s work to bring down costs and increase health care options are at the top of his priority list.
Re-elect State Representative Tony Jurgens on November 6!
“The DFL campaign mailers included major claims that are demonstrably false.” – KSTP-TV, August 28, 2018
The media doesn’t believe the DFL lies – neither should you!
Here’s What the DFL Doesn’t Want You to Know About Tony Jurgens
The DFL is misleading you because they don’t want you to know the truth about Tony Jurgens: he is working with all sides on bipartisan solutions.
Lowered Health Care Costs. Tony knows rising health care costs are a top concern for local families. That’s why he suported a bipartisan law that stops surprise billings, has proven to lower premium rates for Minnesotans on the individual insurance market, and reforms the system to increase the number of available health plan options.
Delivered Historic Tax Cuts. Tony voted yes on a bipartisan law that provided the largest tax relief package for Minnesotans in 20 years. Tony fought to ensure senior citizens were prioritized, and because of his hard work, 284,000 tax filers received Social Security tax relief; 72,000 of those no longer pay income tax on their Social Security benefits. Families with young children, college graduates with student loan debt, farmers and small business owners are also seeing tax relief.
Built Safer Roads and Bridges. Tony joined Republicans and Democrats in approving the largest investment in road and bridge infrastructure in state history without raising gasoline taxes. Billions of dollars will now be invested into transportation needs over the next decade using existing funds thanks to this bipartisan agreement.
Don’t fall for the angry, partisan rhetoric. On November 6, re-elect State Representative Tony Jurgens!
